Merry Meet,
Today I will be discussing parts of the Old Testament, particularly those that deal with witchcraft.
The first passage is Exodus 22:18. Many of you know this as the passage as "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live" In the original Hebrew, this is not what the passage says. It says thou shalt not let a m'khashepah live. An m'khashepah was the person described that should be killed. What is an m'khashepah you ask? An m'khashepah is a woman who uses evil spells to harm others. I am not an m'khashepah. On the contrary, I am bound by the threefold law to not use evil magic.
Wiccans believe in Karma, but when it comes to magic they also believe in the threefold law. The threefold law states that anything that you do comes back to you three times. However, if the target is also a witch and the magic is evil, it can come back to the practitioner up to 21 times in multiples of three. Anything more than that is known as a psychic war.
